Where Glitch Text Works and Where It Does Not

Glitch text is made of ordinary Unicode characters, with extra combining marks stacked on the letters. Whether it shows up depends on the app, not on the text itself. Chat boxes and bios usually keep the marks. Name fields in games often filter, shorten or strip them.

Why a glitch name gets rejected

• The filter strips combining marks. Some games remove them silently, so the name loses its effect.
• The character count is stricter than it looks. Each stacked mark can count toward the limit.
• The font has no glyph. You see empty boxes because the device font lacks one of the characters.
• The word list blocks it. Names containing blocked words are rejected even when styled.

What to do if your name is rejected

1. Switch to a lighter style from the glitch text generator with fewer marks.
2. Replace marks with simple symbols that almost every font supports.
3. Try a styled name from the 100+ unique PUBG names list instead.
4. Generate 50+ options with the bulk glitch name generator and test them one by one.

Unicode characters are not a cheat or a hack, so the realistic risk is a rejected or reset name rather than a penalty. Even so, follow each game’s own naming rules, since they can change with updates.
